About Kurt Jensen

Kurt Jensen is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of entrepreneurial, management, and deal-making experience. As Senior Vice President of Industrial, Infrastructure, & Special Projects, Mr. Jensen has participated in millions of square feet of industrial acquisitions and leasing. His extensive and diverse experience allows him to empathetically see the deal from the client or seller’s side and use a variety of creative approaches to produce a winning deal for all involved.

Mr. Jensen finds working on the front line of America’s industrial renaissance incredibly exciting, fulfilling, and humbling. After a thorough beating during the Great Recession, American cities and countryside were left with millions of square feet of industrial skeletons, behemoth buildings that once were pillars of their community, occupied by vibrant companies employing thousands of hard-working people. These properties often now find themselves labeled as impaired, run-down, or blighted. Where others see ruins, Phoenix Investors and Mr. Jensen see opportunity.

Within other affiliates of Phoenix Investors, Mr. Jensen has operated in a wide range of capacities. He served as Chief Executive Officer of a telecommunications company, which produced $20 million in profits in 18 months. As Chief Executive Officer of an internet-based entertainment shopping firm, his marketing strategy resulted in over a million members. As Executive Vice President of a petroleum distributor, Mr. Jensen managed to sell one of the most complicated debtor cases faced by M&I Bank (Midwest). Finally, as an executive for a publicly traded conglomerate, he helped navigate the collapse of credit markets and the subsequent Great Recession, bringing orderly closure to a wide range of challenges and assets.

Currently, Mr. Jensen’s focus is on acquiring commercial real estate for long-term investment purposes. Activities include sourcing deals, tenants, and managing transactions in the distressed, REO, and value-added space.
