Financial Analyst

Phoenix Investors, a national commercial real estate company based in Milwaukee, WI, seeks an organized, diligent, and responsible Financial Analyst to add to our talented team. In this position, you will play a key role by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to improve company performance.

  • Perform detailed financial analysis of property financials, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, etc.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess profitability and support the organization’s strategic planning.
  • Assist with yearly NNN reconciliations as assigned.
  • Prepare and review quarterly tenant utility billbacks for accuracy.
  • Track cost trends and communicate data efficiently with proper departments (property managers, leasing, accounting, etc.).
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for property-related expenses.
  • Contribute to exploring new processes and automations to drive continuous improvement and increase accuracy and efficiency.
  • Analyze industry trends and make recommendations based on those trends.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
  • 3 – 5 years of finance or accounting experience
  • A 4-year accounting degree is desirable (or a related field)
  • Prior experience with YARDI is a plus
  • Proficient user of MS365 Office Products, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication skills; ability to interface with internal and external stakeholders

  • Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures
