POSITION OVERVIEW

Phoenix Investors, a national commercial real estate company based in Milwaukee, WI, seeks an organized, diligent, and responsible Financial Analyst to add to our talented team. In this position, you will play a key role by analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and providing insights to improve company performance.

  • Responsible for performing detailed financial analysis of property financials, including income statements, balance sheet, cash flow statements, etc
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess profitability and support the organization’s strategic planning
  • Track cost trends & communicate data efficiently with proper departments (property managers, leasing, accounting, etc)
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting for property related expenses
  • Contribute to exploring new processes & automations to drive continuous improvement
  • Analyzes industry trends and makes recommendations based on those trends
  • Ad hoc reporting as needed
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • 3-5 years finance or accounting experience
  • 4-year accounting degree is desirable (or related field)
  • Prior experience with YARDI is a plus
  • Proficient user of MS365 Office Products, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication skills; will be required to interface with internal and external stakeholders
  • Standout “can do” attitude and enthusiasm to drive and innovate process
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Thorough understanding of cost accounting principles and procedures
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced environment and possess a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work within a team and independently
