Cristo Rey Jesuit High School is partnering with Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, Phoenix Investors and the Crivello Family Foundation to provide 1200 boxes of food for families during the holiday season. Each food box will also include a $20 gift card to El Rey Foods for fresh meats and produce.

These curated boxes include peanut butter, rice, beans, potatoes, and other healthy foods. They will be distributed between 9 AM and 12 PM on Saturday, Dec. 14, at Cristo Rey Jesuit High School at 1818 West National Avenue. Anyone in the community is welcome to receive a free box, and the boxes will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

“We are so grateful to be partnering with Phoenix Investors, the Crivello Family Foundation, and Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin to help make Christmas a little merrier for 800 families in our Milwaukee community,” said Andrew Stith, Cristo Rey Jesuit High School President. “As a Jesuit and Catholic high school, we are called to love and serve our neighbors. We know that food insecurity is something many of our neighbors face over the holidays and we feel blessed to be able to help them out with some extra food for their dinner tables.”

Over 75 volunteers from Cristo Rey Jesuit’s faculty, staff, and community, including 45 students, will participate in the packaging and distribution of 20 tons of food for local families.

“Giving back to the Milwaukee community is a passion Phoenix Investors shares with Cristo Rey Jesuit,” said Frank Crivello, Chairman & Founder of Phoenix Investors and the Crivello Foundation. “It’s an honor to partner with them and Feeding America to distribute meal boxes to families in need.”

“Cristo Rey Jesuit’s mobile food pantry will provide hundreds of meals to our neighbors in need at one of the most critical times of the year,” said President and CEO of Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin, Patti Habeck. “Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin is thrilled to partner on this holiday distribution and we applaud the Trailblazers of Cristo Rey Jesuit for their dedication to solving hunger in our community.”
